The LCD Lid behind the webcam of my A8JS LCD gets warm with 30miutes use, but other places seems to be cool. Do any of you guys experience this? Is webcam causing the heat? I didn't use webcam.
I was running ubuntu with webcam driver from http://mxhaard.free.fr/download.html
at same time running XP(through vmware) with webcam driver from asus.

It's definitely the webcam that's producing the heat. Even when you aren't using it, it is producing heat because it draws a lot of power from the battery. It is probably the most power-draining part of the entire laptop. I recommend attaching a fan that's directed toward the webcam to keep it cool.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
The webcam feeling warm first surfaced in the W7 series, although I don't know whether others have reported it in the A8's. If you're not using the webcam and want to cut the heat if that specific part of the lcd case feels warm, I'd suggest going into the Device Manager and try disabling the webcam altogether. That may solve your problem.
