Is there any way to default the wireless features (Bluetooth, LAN) to the "switch off" position? Every time my laptop boots up they are always turned on automatically

Has any one experienced problems with the bluetooth? It messes around with my mouse

GO to "RUN" on the start button, type "MSCONFIG" Then you will basically see from there... There are several different things you can do. One is to turn off what programs turn on at the start of your computer.

This applies to my W3J but I think it is also valid for your A8Js: if all wireless software are installed correctly, you can try the combo Fn+F2 until you get the option in which WLAN & BT are off.

The thing is I need bluetooth to be off at start up, because if it loads during start up it'll screw up my USB mouse. It sucks to try and have work arounds for this problem because it's not supposed to happen

Anyone has this problem with bluetooth? And I can't seem to find the process or file that I should disable in msconfig!!!!

    OK, how about something simple...

Is the BT/wireless off or on when you shut down your notebook? Other Asus models on bootup will engage the wireless in the same state as when it was shut down, i.e. if on, then will turn on with next boot and vice versa.

I have tried Fn + F2, but to no avail. The same problem resurfaced. I managed to stop BT from switching on at bootup but the problem persisted.

When the problem manifests, I cannot left click on a text input field on webpages and neither could I click "Yes" or "No" on a confirmation dialog box
