Well I just bought a bluetooth mouse for my A8JS I recently purchased off newegg and I haven't been able to get it to work. I figured it could be a driver problem so I opened up device manager to check the driver version... I soon realized there was no bluetooth device to be found.

I double checked newegg and it says my laptop does have bluetooth. Am I missing something?

The A8Js did not have bluetooth until very recently, unless you bought the MilestonePC special Bluetooth edition. So I doubt your laptop has it.

Vivek is correct. I believe the A8Jx didn't ship with integrated bluetooth for a while. If you don't have a bluetooth device installed and you don't see some sort of unknown device in your hardware device manager, you probably don't have a bluetooth chip installed.

Looks like your best option now is to purchase a dongle...

Well, the A8Jp from Newegg came standard with integrated bluetooth, but I think it was the only one except for the A8Js from MilestonePC.

I just bought my A8JS less than 2 weeks ago off Newegg, and under the specifications it clearly says it comes with bluetooth. Looks like Newegg made a mistake, they should clear that up.

I guess I'll just have to get a regular wireless mouse with a receiver. *sigh*

    Start> rightclick on MyComputer> Properties> Hardware> DeviceManager> Network Adapters

look for " BlueTooth Personal Network"

If thats there then YOU DO HAVE bluetooth.

on the bottom of the lappy there will be a bluetooth square logo and id. if one does not exist then one is not present. we do sell bt module mods and video along with it. Bt mod for a8js Mod has been around for about 6 months now.
