anyone realized there is keyboard flex around the area under f1,f2,f3 and 1,2,3 keys? On A8js..
-
Had mine for 2 months and never noticed this. Not that I really notice it now either. I can't really tell if its flexing bad or not.
-
I don't think it matters much.Because you don't use these keys frequently. And keyboard flex is not dangerous but it's surely annoying.
Go and see/read a DELL XPS m1210, there is considerable flex on the right column. Now that's something to complain about. -
Last week, I send my laptop to Asus for a keyboard replacement. they claimed that they had replaced a new keyboard. after i got it back this monday, I realized the same flex on the same area, but a little better than the last time. Just wanna know if this is common problem that other A8js owners have, so I know that i am not the one who's getting a defective unit.
-
I can confirm that this is a feature.

My a8jm flexes a bit there too.. about the same as all the other laptops i've used., I've thought of putting a little dynamat or something back there, that'll probably take care of the flex. ( maybe something a little thinner than dynamat )

My A8Js flexes in that area a little too. Not so much that it bothers me but enough to notice.
-
then i think i am not the only one that suffers. Well, if you don't press hard enuff, everything should be alright. But, why do u have to press so hard on the key while typing??
, btw, do all of you hear rattle sound when u press the following keys?
-
Because the harder you press the darker the letters appear on the screen. If you type too lightly, no one will be able to read your post.
-
lol, haha, but do u hear rattle sound?
-
You could've patented that if you hadn't just posted it on a public forum.
-
No, no rattling sound. My backspace squeaks a little bit but it just encourages me to be a better typer and not need it.
A8JS keyboard flex!
