    Hello,
    I have had my A8JS for about 1.5yrs and about a month back the sound stopped working stating there was no audio device. I decided to format it using a xp disc and download all the latest drivers and bios updates from the web. However when I go to install the audio driver after I have installed the UAA bus driver it tells me it is incompatible with my hardware. I went to the asus website and literatly downloaded every single driver for audio from notebooks and none of them will work.
    Any ideas.

    Before formatting if you would put your hand over the microphone port it was make a really loud hissing sound through it.
