I just installed windows XP on my new A8Jm and after installing everything ... the controll buttons above the keyboard for power4gear, splended display, bluetooth, wlan, etc, do not work ....

I searched the forums but due to either my search skills (or lack their of), or lack of a post on this topic already, i found no slutions.

Does anyone know how to fix this little problem?

    thanks guys

Yes, you need to install the program, I don't remember exactly what it is called, but I believe it is just called hcontrol.exe. It should be on the CD that came with the computer, or just download it from the Asus website. Install that, do a quick restart, and control button away!

I think i figured out why they didnt work originally...

After installing XP Home fresh on the A8Jm i ran the update tool to get the latest updates and it actually d/l'ed the ATKCPI100 drivers itself! soo....

Delete the windows provides ATKCPI100 drivers, install the one off the ASUS disk provided with the A8Jm, and bam, full functionality of the buttons.

Thanks guys and thank you for pointing me in the right dirrection Darrick
