    A8Jm lags while gaming on battery

    Why, when I play games such as BF2 on the battery, like the game lags?? I dont get it, I am putting the power4gear on the high performance, but like the game is laging... is there a way to ask the battery to work on full strenght, i dont care if the battery life will be really low...?
    I had the same problem with my older laptop while playing nfsu, maybe its a general problem with all laptop :S...

    Someone else asked the same question some month ago but i cant seem to find his thread.
    Anyway, any help will be good :)

    Check the Power Scheme, it usually underclocks the CPU (it slashes my 1.66 Duo to 1.0GHz DUO usually) also test ATI PowerPlay Settings,it says (by default ) that the CPU will have medium performance on battery (no matter how much of it is remaining) (full performance on plugged , and minimum on low battery),you can easily override the settings.

    the a8jm is the one with the 7600 is it not?
    to control how fast the gpu is clocked on various battery settings(i believe the settings are AC, high power, and low battery), you go to the powermizer menu on the nvidia control panel. by default it probably goes to medium speed on high power.

    edit: you are mostly right mujtaba, its just nvidia calls their power control panel "powermizer" instead of "powerplay." its all the same.
