    A8Jp Dual monitor question

    Quickie question:
    Since the A8Jp has both VGA and DVI outputs can you run dual external monitors without any further hardware?

    I don't think you do, but you may need to have the Catalyst Control Centre to extend the desktop to the external device. Other than that, no, theres no need for any other program.

    NO - both outputs come from the same secondary output source.... they can actually both display the same thing on two different monitors - the signal is basically split on the output, it's two two seperate video channels..... Remember the lcd screen on the notebook is source 1.... to be able to output 3 individual desktops off of any single video card is almost impossible.... 2 yes, but not 3........ and on a laptop it's basically impossible without some external hardware from someone like matrox, and I'm not even sure how well that works.

    Zero is basically explaining how you can run your lcd screen plus a single external monitor at the same time using dualview - allow you to have two seperate windows desktops...
