    Hello,

My A8Js screen is kind of weird.
I had the machine running on a external Digital out for a while. Now i actually wanted to work with the the notebook on the go so this is basically the first time I really looked at the mounted TFT.

Now, i have vista running and I notice something especially on White backgrounds, the there seems to be some kind of granularity effect, let me explain, it is almost like I can see the TFT liquid behind the coating. When i look at it closely, the white is not as pure as it is on external TFTs. It looks like there are very tiny pixels that radiate the RGB colors throughout the whole screen. Its very hard to notice but looking at the whole picture, this impurity is disturbing.

Can you guys put on a white background and tell me if you have a similar effect? Its almost that the display is not "Fine" enough. Could it be vista ?

This is a feature of the lcd...

When I started my A8Js the 1st time, I was really pissed about the screen. Lots of light leakage, bad viewing angles and this "graininess" issue. Well, nowadays it doesn't matter to me that much. At least the screen is very bright, which is something I like quite much :)

No, that one worked only with notebooks with ATI radeon X1600 cards. A8Js has nVidia Geforce go 7700.

Some people have said that there is often graininess in smaller screens with high resolutions, just like A8Js screen.
