Does the A8Js have a hidden recovery partition on the HD? I'm picking up the WD 250GB drive and I will be using Acronis True Image 10 to image my current drive over, Just want to know if there is a recovery partition I have to worry about. Thanks.

I believe that Asus ships all of the Ensemble models with a hidden recovery partition (you can always check in Disk Management to confirm).

If you choose to pull an image with Acronis, you can manually choose which partition the software should make the image of. Pulling an image adds extra steps of verifying the integrity of the image, and then installing the image back over to your new WD drive. Easiest thing to do is simply to have Acronis clone the drive straight to the WD, which I have found to be the most error free and fastest approach. You'll still have the small hidden partition in there stealing a bit of space, but with 250Gb there shouldn't be much of a problem ;).

Thanks, I've used Acronis for a while but sometimes it doesn't handle the recovery partition well (in the case of some earlier Acer models) so I just want to see if anyone ran into problems.
