Hi, I was in a lecture today and was wondering about the new A8Js model im getting from the group buy. Specifically, the WXGA+ resolution. Im not worried about being able to read text and such, however I'm worrried about games actually supporting WXGA+ (1440x900). Do most games support this, or will the reolution have to be adjusted down. I hope not, since the picture would not look as good not being at its native resolution. The only other thing I was wondering is whether or not the new model will include 2x512 mb sticks of memory or 1 GB stick. Thanks in advance for any insight into these problems.

Most games are designed for 4:3 ratio res, but many can be set to widescreen res. Check www.widescreengamingforum.com. The problem will be, is the Go7700 powerful enough to handle gaming in 1440x900 res with high options on with a good fps. 1440x900 is obviously heavier than 1280x800 or 1280x768 (in the case of W3J).

I actually wasnt worried about the video card being able to handle the higher resolution, it should actually be just fine. The x1600 and 7600 go handle WSXGA
just fine, so Id expect the new 7700 would breeze through WXGA+. That wasnt my issue.

all the newer-end games support 16:10 widescreen ratio by default. 1440 x 900 will be a breeze to setup.
