    A8Js Screen light leakage?

    My new A8JS 024C comes with the AUO screen and I just watch my first DVD on it and there seems to be a large amount of light leakage from the bottom of the screen (about 1/2" of white wash that will not go away even if I turn brightness all the way down). Is this typical of the AUO screen and if so Can I contact ASUS for a screen replacement?

    As far as I know light leakage is not a warranty return item.

    14" screens are prone to solarizing with bad vertical viewing angles, which can sometimes be mistaken for leakage. I'm not saying that's what you're experiencing, but just something for others to think about :).

    You will find the same in pretty much every 14" panel and others as well. live with it.

    Kinda funny running into you here since I got my A8Js from you ;-). It not that noticable during the day but If I'm using it in a low light envoirment, it's kinda noticable. I'm not too worried about it as I'm real happy with the rest of the package (In fact I just refer Jumper76 to your store in a PM).


    P.S. Any diea when my spare battery will ship?
