    A8Js burner is not burning?

    I don't know why mine A8Js is not burning any CD-R i put in it. When I was trying to burn my mp3 into music cd-r mode. Then it burned like normal but once it completed burning and i try to play the disc, the disc turn out to be blank cd media. I tried so far 2 different brands of cd-r but still didn't work. However, the DVD burning is working fine. Is there something wrong with my A8Js burner or should i get some other cd-r media? Some inputs would be helpful, thanks.

    Try removing the device so that Windows can reinstall the driver. Otherwise, it's dead and Asus will mail you a replacement drive.

    Can you read discs?

    I have experienced something like this before... mine old Sony DVD RW works good for first couple of months , then it can burn some CDs but it fails to burn DVDs. Asus will probably send you a replacement DVD drive, give them a call.

    I had problems using the version of nero 6 oem that came with my a8js.

    I didnt figure them out i just switched the program and never had problems again.

    it doesnt come with the program called nero burning rom just nero express
