    FYI
After some research via Google, I decided to just install the drivers recommended by Windows Update.
The graphics, ATK, and media card reader drivers installed and seem to be working just fine.

However I still have a few outstanding devices with the following hardware IDs:
    VEN_1180&DEV_0592 (Card reader?)
    VEN_1180&DEV_0843 (Card reader?)
    VID_0AC8&PID_0321 (webcam)

I tried the "YaHsin Camera Driver for Vista 32bit/64bit" (Version V321.6.1226.13) provided by ASUS, but could not install it.

Any help, suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated!

    (moved to main ASUS forum)

Sometimes notebooks from the same model can use different camera makes and models. For instance I know the cameras on the ASUS W7S have 3 different possible types. So if there are alternative cam Vista drivers for your model, try them out.

    Thanks for your suggestion
I have tried all of the options from the A8Js driver download page on the ASUS website, with no luck...

As an update, I still have had no luck finding a driver for the webcam.

Plus, I have noticed that usually the fan remains on at full speed all the time. I say usually because just today for the first time it seems like the fan did not turn on at all, and after several minutes of usage the machine became quite hot.
Has any body else run into this problem? Any suggestions for a fix?

    Thanks for your advice!
I am a bit confused when you say intel graphics driver and nvidia, though.
I suppose you mean to suggest that I install Nvidia's graphic driver instead of the driver suggested by Windows Update?

Awesome! I don't have my A8Js with me at the moment, but I will check out those resources when I can.
    Thanks for the tip :)
