    Howdy folks,

I have an A8Js on order and I've been pricing out a few 1 gb sticks of ram. At Newegg they have two categories of DDR2 667 ram, PC2 5300 and PC2 5400. Does it matter which specific type of DDR2 667 I buy? Is there a benefit to buying the 5400 over the 5300?

    Thanks in advance.

Which brand of ram did you buy, Stamar? Curious if I should go with a name brand or if it doesn't matter much.

one company rounds up the other one rounds down.

no difference in the brands as far as performance.

    Only possibly reliability.

    They both the same.
The bandwidth is actually at 5.333 GB/s, some manufacturer think the little diffrence of 0.033 GB/s counts so they mark it as PC5400.

Ah, kind of like some of the "1.3MP" cameras on phones that have actually 1.23 million pixels. That always annoyed me for some reason. Just out of spite, I won't buy the PC2-5400, lol.
