    A8Jx availability in the US?

    I understand that the A8JM is not available in the US and has to be ordered through the Canadian stores online.

    What about the A8JA? Are there any options for ordering one if you live in the US?

    You can get the A8Jm in the U.S. through Portable One (it's rebranded as the MX, but it's the same machine). One benefit of ordering from P1 is that they offer bluetooth as an option.

    Also, MilestonePC is opening a U.S. store early next month and they will offer the A8Jm too. As for the A8Ja, I haven't heard of anyone in the U.S. carrying it.

    ZZF had it, but it's been taken out since if I'm not mistaken, plus it's prob better to get it from a reseller like P1 or MilestonePc since the support will be easier to come by should you need it.

    I looked at ZZF and the A8JM does appear on their site here:

    Yesterday I called them after seeing this and the customer service rep gave me some glib about how they would need 1-2 days for order confirmation with an extra week to "process" the order for this particular item.

    By what I've read in this forum, they've canceled a lot of orders. I think its a case of bait and switch with ZZF and these two laptops right now. It doesn't sound like they actually have any in stock.

    Be warned. If you want the A8JM best to go with ProPortable or MilestonePC it seems. What a shame...$1499 with free shipping is too good to be true.

    The A8jm and A8f(shared gfx) are the only Canadian models, while the US opted not to get one. The A8ja and others(A8j....something else, the one with the 7300?) are only avaliable in certain places, like the UK, Australia, etc.
