hey guys, got a major issue here.
I tried to upgrade the windows home that is bundled with a8jm to vista, but then after the first time the pc had to restart (thats during the vista installation), the laptop didnt want to boot anymore (either from the hd and the dvd).... I should of tested if the dvd would of boot prior to install vista, but it doesnt.
I tried the same vista dvd with other pcs and the dvd boot properly
So whats the problem with my asus, why the dvd doesnt want to boot and the vista installation doesnt want to continue???

I had to install a fresh copy of windows xp pro, since the cd that comes with the asus are only recovery cds (and i need some files on the latop and stuff) but now i lost all the settings, all the drivers and stuff

argg i shouldnt try to upgrade to vista!
