I had recently got a new a8jm about 2 weeks ago. I have a problem where it just randomly beeps once every maybe 5 or 10 minutes. I've disabled 'Beep' in hardware devices but it has not fixed the problem. To the best that I can tell, it comes from somewhere on the left side of the notebook. It doesn't cause any performance problems from what I've noticed, but it is just plain annoying. Anyone have a solution?

    Hi,

Never heard of such a problem... What about a hardware device's getting too hot maybe ? The only bip I hear on mine is the boot one...

    this is random guess.

However hard drives sometimes come with their own sound warning electronics. I would check out hd tune and look at error codes to eliminate that.

It could also be some poorly seated RAM, I had a beep on startup with my M6n, took out the extra ram and the beep went, put it back in with abit more care and everything is now aok.
