I don't understand why my 3dMark 2006 score running vista 32 bits is only 2291
I have the latest Asus VGA installed with 2.11 bios
Here's the 3d mark log exported to excel. is there anything I CAN Do to up the score to 2600 maybe???? this is ridiculously awful.
What are your 06 scores with vista?
thanks folks!!

Try putting the CPU to Max Power.
-
-
How is it a scandal? I don't think you should take synthetic like a grain of salt. Take the AMD HD for example. They score almost a mile ahead of the G800 series but in real world gaming, they sucks.
-
AlexOnFyre Needs to get back to work NBR Reviewer
That is an awful lot of data =P
What it really comes down to is FPS in the games. Does it chop up while you are playing? If you can still play stuff on at least medium settings with good framerates then there shouldn't really be a problem. -
Not only the CPU, but check the power/performance settings of the GPU. You don't want it on Balanced or Power Saving (or some similar profile). Did you run the 3DMark on battery by any chance? If you did, this is almost certain to be the case.
But I agree with Alex, it the games run fine don't worry about the 3Dmark, it's just a score indirectly related to real life. -
Without reading all the data.. one number jumped out at me, that is the bios you are running.
Problems have been reported with v2.11, I don't remember the specifics but they were solved by reverting back to v2.10. -
That's true... The 2.11 bios was weird. I had Screen brightness issues with it. Don't know if it has more, since i couldn't really do anything while running thta stupid bios.
-
Thats a lot of number to begin with, slightly difficult to digest....and why is it labelled as a "scandal"?
-
Or either he can't differentiate the difference between scandal and problem. -
wow, what a scandal, phone Asus, ask them a commercial effort for this, and sue 3DMark for their bull**** benchmark, also don't forget to kill any guy which mention Asus around you within the next ten years........
A8js - SCANDAL!!!
