when you go into the "advanced" settings all that shows up is IDE confing no mention of AHCI mode anywhere

    http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc418/kenny0537/IMG_1059.jpg

next i go into the IDE config which shows the hard drive and the cd drive i want to change the hard drive settings but im all ready in the IDE controller, anyways i choose the hard drive for wishful thinking

    http://i1210.photobucket.com/albums/cc418/kenny0537/IMG_1060.jpg

all there is are some features for the hard drive to be changed around again no mention of AHCI mode maybe a lower version of bios perhaps, don't know but it sounds like people have done it before so any help would be appreciated thanks.

Your HDD is definitely SATA. Did you try to go to default settings and see what this will do? Maybe they are not in advanced settings? Is that really the latest BIOS?
You should find owners thread of this one on this forum I bet they will be able to help you...
