I just updated my W3N with the latest ACPI driver version 1043.2.15.48, since then my computer has been running a lot cooler than before with a drop of at least 4-5C and staying at around 45C. The fan hasn´t even come on for an hour with just surfing the web as opposed to before when it started after only 15-20 minutes.

What does the ACPI driver do?

Now I´m really pleased with the behaviour of this great piece of machinery!!!!

So my tip is to upgrade!!

    Cheers

ACPI is the new power management driver (APM was the old version).... you can find out more about this from Intel, Microsoft and a little from Asus.

Asus' ATK ACPI driver also includes functionality for all of the hotkeys....

    Thanks,
    Justin
