I have the UL80v and I wanted to make the recovery dvds today.
Everything started out fine got 2 dvds burnt and inserted the 3rd. Then it came up with an error and ejected the cd. I tried it 3 times with different blank news cd's. nothing. So i saw a workaround from someone else on here that said they used the tool to create the iso and then burnt them with their own program. Thought i'd give that a shot. I found the folder and saw something odd .
    CD1.iso 3.8 gigs
    CD2.iso 3.6 gigs
    CD3.iso 0kb???
    CD4.iso 2.7 gigs

Thought maybe something went wrong in the writing to iso so I closed and restarted the utility again letting it rewrite those temp files and the same thing came up. So I'm thinking I might try just burning that disc 4 and seeing if thats everything? Idk if you have any other ideas love to hear it.
