Hi all, I've had this computer (netbook) for 8 years running XP without an issue and due to interest I decided to install Win 7 Pro which I had a copy for my other computer. I partitioned my hd many years ago and have been running two copies of XP for different applications. The newly installed ver of Win 7 is a dog compared to XP but would like to stick with Win 7 due to security reasons. I would like to upgrade to Win 10 but with a N280 cpu running at 1.67 Gig and with only 2 Gig of ram might be a problem. My question: Is there anyway to upgrade the cpu or to install more ram?
    Many thanks for any suggestions.

In short: No (2GB is max memory in that machine).

I upgraded my 1000H to GDP Pocket ( https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/gpd-pocket-7-0-umpc-laptop-ubuntu-or-win-10-os-laptop--2#/) which was fine as long as you did not try to attach external devices too much on it (microHdmi, usb-C is laggy etc... But otherwise it was a interesting device). Waiting now for GDP pocket 2 (like gdp win 2 which is going to be released soon, if not already). I really hope that there will be pocket 2 with same internals as gpd win 2.

Thank you and I will read what a GDP Pocket is, I checked the web site and looks like I'm going to have to do some reading, not quite sure what it does. As mentioned Win XP worked like a charm and now with Win 7.1 just loading Firefox to the standard Google page takes forever and I get a yellow bar across the top asking me what I want to do as this page is slowing down the computer. Not quite sure what to do here!
