    ASUS 32VD DH71 - Updated Drivers and WEI Tanked

    I just installed latest Intel HD 4000 driver and NVIDIA GT 620M driver (both from respective company websites) Previous drivers were the factory installed drivers from 7/31/12.

    The Windows Experience Score for Graphics plunged from 5.5 to 4.8 and the score for 3D Graphics lowered from 6.2 to 6.1.

    Did anyone else have this happen? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for your help.

    The true test/benchmark would be real world application. Run a game or video, or something that requires hardware acceleration, and do so under both drivers to see if you get any difference in performance. You can also run specific stress test software to test the drivers.

    I wouldn't lean on the WEI's accuracy or reputability. :)

    Video drivers should be updated as new ones are released, but as said the WEI reading is of little importance if everything else is running as it should.

    Thanks for your advice. I understand WEI may not be an accurate assessment but it's still troubling that the scores tanked.

    I updated because I saw there were new drivers :) no other reason.

    Thank you. Everything's working, I was just concerned.
