    ASUS 6000 how to turn off internal keyboard

    Friend of mine just brought ASUS 6000 with broken internal keyboard. Is there any way how to turn off/disable internal keyboard and works only on an external one?

    you cant turn the kb off you can turn the touchpad off. i ve never tried that before but i can tell you that if you remove it the notebook will not pass post

    Are you sure? If you haven't tried it.

    But to the OP: why do you want to disable it? If you don't use it at all, even if it's broken, why do you care? Unless it affects the notebook functioning in other ways.

    One sure way to disable it is to unplug the signal cable. You need to pop up the keyboard for that, you will find instructions on many threads -- I know I posted them at least 5 times in the past few months.
