    Hi Guys please help me my cam is not working it is built in and i have windows vista operating system please tell me what to do and how to fix all that problems thanks in advance and please help ASAP

    Could you give more details? E.g., have you installed Vista and don't have a driver, or did the camera work and then it stopped working?

    when i first bought the notebook the OS was windows XP then I installed windows vista and the cam was working then i dont know how or why i tried to operate it but didnot work and i tried to run the setup cd that came with the notebook but didnot work

    did u update the drivers for the camera when u installed vista? if not, make sure u install the vista drivers, not the xp ones. Your drivers cd must only have the xp version. Go to Asus.com to find the them.

    If the camera was working in Vista and then stopped working, I believe the drivers went bad. You should make sure you have correct drivers for the camera (from the CD, from support.asus.com, or maybe the webcam's manufacturer), then uninstall the current drivers (via Device Manager, right click the camera and "Uninstall"), reboot the computer, and install the correct drivers.

    Hopefully that takes care of the issue.

    I'll try what u suggest guys but when i went to asus for a3a didnot find specific for vista but let me try and do i have to update the bios and if so how to do it

    guys please help as asus has no support for A3A notebooks that os is vista how to solve that please tell me from a to z what to do from a scratch to make the system is working an dthe camera working too
