Well I've had this notebook for a little while now, and I've noticed that the company who I work for, and who i bought this notebook through stated that this notebook comes with a 4800mAh battery.

After contacting the computer buyer of our company they said that they get the info from asus.

Now I've searched the forums and noticed that there was a thread on this same topic in regards to the a70v i think it was.

I'm supposed to have recieved a 4800mAh battery, but have recieved a 4400mAh battery.

I've also noticed that the A6U on the Asus webpage has a 4400 and the A6G has a 4800mAh battery.

Do you think that the 4800mAh battery will fit into my notebook. Both batteries are rated at 65Watts.

take a look at my screenshot from batmon, says its only around 4000mAh. Far from the 4800 that I though I was going to get...

    Your thoughts, justin?

    Thanks

.... this is correct...some of the "lesser" systems have 4400mAh batteries..... IF you look at this link to our main battery selection... you'll notice some 4400mAh batteries and some 4800mAh. ... that's just what those models offer.

... if that's what came with your system... that it's available... there isn't an option between a 4400 and 4800... it's just model specific.

ahh now you've got me all confused...

well then do you know if the physical dimensions of the A6U differ from the A6G ? And if the batteries dimentions differ, because surely if they are the same, just one is intel and the other AMD, then they would take both?

isnt one just filled with 550mAh cells x8 and the other with 600mAh x 8 cells?

Well the company I work for buys around 500 Asus notebooks a month. The notebook I have is a 'Z' series one (Z92U), which I believe are barebone systems as I know a third party wholeseller puts the hard drive and DVD/RW and RAM in them.
But mine has a 24 month global warranty (thought only esembles have this), and is more like the A6u than anything else :) So i dont know how our company manages to get them like esembles. I do know though that we have requested all our notebooks not to come with bags or mouse.

and yes the wall paper came with it. There are actually three very similar wallpapers and a A6 screen saver which uses the webcam to add contect into it :)

sorry that was a bit off topic.
