Not well? It may be stronger than the 8400M GT by a little bit, but that isn't saying much. It will probably not be as strong as the 7700 it used to have.

I think the 2600/2600XT is supposed to meet or beat the 8600 GT?

So 2400 is yeah, not so good I would assume :\

It remains to be seen, but a lot of people think that the HD 2600XT will be a bit better than the 8600M GT.

Thats based on the benchmarks of the 20" HP HDX, which probably has higher clocks than every other application of the 2600XT (of which none others exist atm).

This is better than the A8Sc (8400GS) though, so I take it as improvement. Any word on price?

And we are still waiting for the uber-powerful 14" with the 8600GT lol...

Planning to get the A8Js in the following month or two; Is the A8Sr suppose to be it's successor? If not, does anyone know if Asus is planning on updating the A8J platform soon (CPU to Santa Rosa/video card)? =O

No, the A8Sr does not replace the A8J as its successor, but instead the F8SV (w/ Nvidia 8600GT) or F8SA (w/ ATI HD 2600) will. It may seem a bit uncommon from Asus, but the overall performance stays solid and the cost is still within a reasonable price range. ( around $1500)

    More info here.

Nope, this is replacing the A8Jr. The difference being that the A8Sr has Santa Rosa and DX10 graphics, as opposed to the Jr's Napa/Merom and DX9 graphics.

Im looking forward to see the benchmarks for this notebook. Also I think there is one too many USB ports especially with the lack of an HDMI port.
