This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi

    I was wondering i any one has purchased an ASUS amd64 notebook. it is probably called slightly different things in different markets. The one I am looking at has an AMD64 3000+, 512meg, 64mg Nvidia FX 5650, dvd burner (?4x, +/-), all the usual port, a floppy drive!, b/g wireless, gigbyte ethernet and weighs 3.6kg (I'm not sure what that is in lb's but it is fairly heavy). Any thoughts, comments etc. much appreciated.
