I have been hearing a lot of reports with people not liking the touchpad on the C90s. I've heard that it's painted over and doesn't track very, while others say that the surface is rough and feels funny when using it. Can anyone who has a C90s notebook confirm or deny these findings or, better yet, care to give a quick review on what they think of their C90s touchpad?

Just up the sensitivity and after a few uses you will get used to it. Of course I always use an external mouse, but for someone on the go, then its all a matter of breaking it in and getting used to it.

I'm assuming your talking about Eddie's review? Eddie was the only one I heard mention it so maybe something was wrong with his but I haven't heard of any problems with anyone else. Mine works great.

It's a non issue IMO. It works as good as any other I used, looks better than most :)

    quoted for emphasis.

I may be a little bit on the extreme side of that statement though. There are days I use the touchpad, and there are days that I use the mouse. Which ever seems more comfortable at the time. Like this morning I used the touchpad. Last night I used the mouse.

But along the lines of sensitivity, I've been using the stock settings since day 1 and I think it's perfectly fine.

yeah. ur fingers only stick on it maybe during the first few days. After a while, it will be ok and a lot more comfortable. Takes a little getting used to....

I didnt like mine at first but after awhile I got used to it and it was fine, I did have to turn up the sensitivity on it.

The touchpad works great, I think the problem is your finger sticking to it due to the paint. Well using a softer touch mostly corrects this (thus upping the sensitivity) but it depends on your environment and yourself. When my fingers are dry its perfect, but somtimes my room is humid or my fingers maybe have some oil residue on them and they can stick some. If its a big issue with you, just look for some of those touchpad improver's.

The touchpad works for me, but my Powerbooks blows it out of the water.
