Hi, just was wondering, for those of you that OWN an ASUS EEE PC, is the chassis glossy like those HP Pavillion notebooks, and if so, does it vary by the color you get?

Like is Pearl White glossy while the Galaxy Black is not glossy or vice versa? I have never even seen one in person, so I don't know, just have pictures to base it off of and that doesn't help.

I was wanting to get one, and wondered about that and what color is better in your opinion...?

Lastly, where is the most reliable website to buy the EEE PC from or where do most purchases get placed with online that offer a return policy?

umm the chassis isn't glossy, its matt and "rough" to touch. it feels quite touch although the keyboard feels real flimsy to me. I personally prefer white though my gf bought the pink one.

Not sure but some of my friends overseas bought it off newegg. I bought my gf's from a brick and motar store here in Beijing.

The white one feels sorta slick - like it's smooth, but not a fingerprint magnet. The black one on the other hand is matte - you can actually feel the slight coarseness. I say if you have a choice go with the black, but that's just me (I have the black one, so I'm obviously biased - but my friends like the coarse feel too, so...*shrug*).

And apparently Costco sells it? If you can, get it from them - nothing beats Costco price and return policy.
