My friend has this netbook, but I wanted more feedback to other users. I felt that battery life was excellent, speed of processor good and overall feel great.

Does anyone have any negatives for this or other brand recommendations?
Also, I found a good site that is giving one away if anyone is interested:

Looking forward to your comments. Thanks!

I think the HP mini is the best out there. It is very stylish, and has good build quality. Specs are not bad at all either. You can get a really a nice config from Best Buy for 329.99.

I think the Asus 1005ha (soon to be released) or the 1000he is certainly the best value out there. As the previous poster said, the HP Mini is nice too, but you don't get the same battery life at that price point (probably not even half) and if you upgrade to a 6 cell battery it will protrude out of the chassis itself and then you are spending 1005ha/1000he money and still not getting equal battery life. So unless battery life isn't a concern, yes, the Asus.

just wanted to point out that the hp extended battery does not stick out the back of the hp mini. the back is not where the battery is located. the battery is located on the middle bottom. so added an extended life battery simply raises the hp mini up slightly. it does not stick out the back per say.

There is quite alot of people not just me that have bought netbooks and simply never used them. whichever you buy just be 100% certain you will use it and it wont be like that excersize machine the celler.

No offense to you guys, but I just saw someone using a mac laptop which looked REALLY small...I didn't think macs were that small but this was definitely like netbook size..might be worth investigating.

mac has no "new" laptop released that is smaller then 13 inches, im thinking you either saw a macbook air which is very thin or an msi wind or aspire 1 which are all white but not macs.

smallest mac i know of is 12 inchs and pretty old now. nothing like a netbook
