Nice, but it begs the question will they have a x64 driver for the camera?

I'd really like to see how well it works and if it is low tech enough to fool with a photo though.

I would think a 64-Bit driver will be supplied since the new G2SG comes with 64-Bit Ultimate. We will soon find out. ;) I agree it will interesting to see how it works. :)

Actually, I'm reading everywhere that the U2E also has Asus' SmartLogon technology.

i think the issue that is blocking the u2e from having it is the absence of a decent camera with a decent resolution and quality. As i understand the software works on any laptop asus and all brands as long as the camera supports it

Poke around an ASUS ftp site and you will find newer versions of all of your ASUS applications and drivers. And you will also discover a download called "SmartLogon." That's the face recognition software. I've downloaded it for my F3SA-A1, but I haven't had time to install it and play around with it.

Didn't work on my C90S, but I suspect that's because the camera is jacked up (takes a while before you get a normal picture). I was hoping to try it on my EeePC, but I can only find Vista versions.

I'm going to try it on my c90s...we'll see how that comes about since my camera is fine.

EDIT: Well, this program works wonderfully on my c90s, it's actually pretty cool to see my face log itself in, lol. Running Vista 32bit.

My camera always starts with its colors messed up and takes a long while before it works normally so I can't get the program to work right and recognize my face.

The software installs on my C90S (Vista Ultimate 64Bit) and seems to detect the webcam but when I
reboot my laptop the webcam's LED only lights up for about a quarter of a second and I get the usual logon screen.

Has anybody got it to work with their C90S?

I downloaded the software from the link provided in this thread but it is made for the U6 model but
maybe I have to wait until ASUS releases a C90S specific software.

Smart login works if the camera works, so yes it works, but my camera doesn't work right all the time. I might call Asus next week to work on this, I don't wanna go another 2 weeks without a notebook or atleast one that I can play good games with.

Works pretty good for me. The only issue is when it wakes up from sleep. I have to click smartlogin on the login screen for the camera to activate.

    Also works on the VX2S.

Problem I am having is that I cant seem to tie it to the ASUS security panel and so I dont get logged into that until I swipe my finger as well (which I suppose is not a bad feature, as you can fool the smart login with something as simple as a picture of yourself).

Anyone have any ideas on how to register the smart login as a credential?

I can't get the face ID logon screen to come up on Vista x64 (note that I installed the previously linked version which i can only assume is for 32bit ONLY)

    Any tips?

Looking at my wife's PC which is running 32bit vista, it should basicly have another user account that pops up the camera locater.

Dammit I almost want to install 32bit for this feature its SOOOOO gimmicky and cool :(

Some one posted that they got it working in 64bit, How so?

Did you have to do anything to get it working or was it good to go after you installed it?

I'm on 64bit and no luck after much fiddling. Which version did you download, and from where on the FTP?

That KeyLemon setup didn't work for me either. I had no image on the preview window even though it claimed it was recognizing my face. Don't want to trust it.

Well I've tried all 3 versions that i could find on the FTP, no dice. If Crusher16 or anyone running it on x64 could update with what they may feel I'm doing different I'd be super-happy :)

Confirmed working with V1S! running Vista Ultimate 32 Bit. No problems whatsoever. Thanks Pepeporras for the link..I was having trouble finding it. The ftp site is huge and the Smartlogon app is not in every individual notebook model's folder. You saved me some time!

    @kvehh:
I had keylemon working on XP on my Asus U6S. I also installed the Infineon TPM drivers for XP before keylemon, perhaps you also need that installed?

I'm rebuilding my XP partition, so can't give much more help at present.
