I've been trying for weeks to change the resolution of Express Gate to 1920x1080 so that it looks right on my screen. It now runs at 1280x800. I've tried editing bs-xorg-1.6.0.sqx in C:\ASUS.SYS (where Express Gate files reside in) but it doesn't work. I've tried to add modes in /etc/model.d/superset/99-custom by adding the lines
    # screen
    export DI_HAVE_RES_DDC='yes'
    export DI_HAVE_RES_LIST='800x600x24x60,1024x768x24x60,1280x800x24x60,1280x1024x24x60,1366x768x24x60,1440x900x24x60,1440x1050x24x60,1600x1200x24x60,1680x1050x24x60,1920x1080x24x60,1920x1200x24x60'
and then recompressing to a sqx file.
This causes Express Gate to fail to boot. Removing the file fixes this.
I've tried to use xrandr -s to change the resolution using Terminal in Express Gate but 1920x1080 seems to be not a supported mode. The highest supported mode is 1280x1024, followed by 1280x800.

Is there a way to get it to recognize 1920x1080 as a display mode so that I am able to use xrandr -s 1920*1080 to change the display resolution?

Does EGate use its' own video driver, or does it point to your usual one? My first guess is that it uses/has it's own driver and that helps it load faster, which is the whole point of the software.

It has its own driver, which is in .so format. Does anyone know how to edit these files in Windows?
