    Hello,
I have this annoying problem with Expressgate that I would like to share with you. I am using an ASUS G50VT-X2 laptop computer with 64 bit Vista operating system. I have downloaded Expressgate v1.0.2.0 from the ASUS support site. When I first install it, there is no problem. But when I turn off and turn on again and try to enter the splashtop web browser I get this message "We found an inconsistency in your configuration data and fixing it. Your computer will restart." After I reboot, it is like I have installed it for the first time. I have to go thru all the procedures again. Then when I shut down and boot into Expressgate, it again gives me the same error message. Does anyone know how to fix the problem. Thank you for your interest. :)

They are now at 1.0.4.1, which I have been using. You might try this version to see if it helps. The only issue I have with 1.041 is that I can't get access to my music and pictures, even after running the configuration tool in Vista.

Thank you Delta but I still got the same problem. I can see my pictures and music folders fine though. I have configured them from inside Vista and it works. But every time I turn off and enter the express gate I get the same message. And one more thing. After surfing for a short while neither the notebook's nor my external keyboard's keys work. Isn't it funny?

I'll try spending more time in Expressgate and see if I can stumble across anything. I've been mostly just toying with it for less than 5 minutes at a time, as a curiousity. BTW, did this issue crop up the first time you ran expressgate, or was it after you made changes to the config? Also, you're not running RAID, right?

Does Expressgate work in RAID yet?

I haven't made any changes in the config other than the ones that the program asks you after the first installation. When I install it for the first time everything seems to work fine. But inside the program I make changes like adjusting the screen brightness, volume and WiFi adjusments. That's all. I have also tried without touching anything but when I reboot it again gives me the same message.
By the way I am not running RAID. I have only one 320GB HDD. Thank you.

Have you tried completely uninstalling express gate, deleting its remaining folder and then installing the latest version? I don't use expressgate so it's just a guess.

Yes I have tried everything but still the problem continues so I just switched back to the original version that came preloaded with my machine.
