WMP 11 is using like 40megs just to play a song?? I find it much slower and choppier and all my songs stutter when there is about 20 secs left. NEVER did this before with XP and WMP10 and I d/led the most up to date sound driver straight from the ASUS website.

I did some googling and noticed that i'm not alone, but there are no solutions?

Went back to XP...WMP11 works fine now...I guess it's just the WMP11/Vista combo that sucks. I think XP is running faster anyway..

yea thats the general result, vista does take up more resources and xp can be tweaked more cos its been around longer.

If you want some speed improvements in xp check out tunexp from driver heaven (download @ download.com) and guides at www.tweaktown.com

If u wana stick to vista then when/if u reinstall u might want to use a less heavy media player like winamp or VLC.
