I have a problem with my Asus F3ja-ap036h
Core2 Duo Processor T7200 2.00 Ghz, 2GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 256MB dedicated, WiFi, BT, 15.4 WXGA screen and a HDD 2.5 "Seagate 160GB SATA II with Windows 7 Ultimate

In the past I had some problems with high temperatures of the cpu, but I solved the problem replacing thermal paste

yesterday night while surfing the web the notebook shutted down suddenly, I tried to restart but the screen stays black ...
I tried to power off, disconnect the battery and wait a moment ... nothing..
i waited a few hours ... powered on and in the monitor appeared the startup screen of windows .... HDD activity LED was flashing but the image of the splash screen remains that even after several minutes

I turned off and power on up anything, I tried to turn it on and go into the bios screen but the screen was always black ....

do you think the video card is broken? the motherboard is broken?

There are a few on ebay, but for the price... I would yank the hard drive out to recover your data and move on to something new.

You can always part out the machine, or sell it as 'for repair'... unless you are really tied to it.

    Good luck!
