    Hi,

I have an ASUS F3Jm with 1x VGA and 1x DVI out ports.

My objective is to run the F3Jm with a Dell 2405FPW (DVI) and a Dell 2001FP (VGA) with the 2405FPW as Primary.

    I have two questions.

    1. I want to run 2 external monitors off the F3Jm - one on the DVI port and one on the VGA port. Can this be done? Is anyone doing it?

I tried plugging two monitors (both LCD's) into the VGA and DVI ports however the F3Jm only seems to recognise one at a time (the first one plugged in).

    2. Can I change one of the external monitors to Primary instead of the notebook screen?

If I can't run F3Jm with both the Dell 2405FPW (DVI) and the Dell 2001FP (VGA) with the 2405FPW as Primary then I would like to run just the F3Jm and the 2405FPW (DVI) BUT with the 2405FPW as Primary not the F3J's screen.

I know all of the above can be done with a Dell Latitude with a port replicator (my wife's notebook). Unfortunately there is no port replicator for the ASUS F3Jm that I can find. But of course the ASUS has both VGA and DVI out so I would like to use both.

Having the F3J's LCD as a third screen would be nice but isn't required.

The video card in the F3J is a 7600Go w/512MB RAM.

Hope someone has been successful with any or all of this or knows something about whether it can be done.

    Lee
