Both should be able to play it in Mid-High quality settings.

The main differences are the video card and the screen resolutions:

    X1 - Radeon3650
    1200x800 resolution

    F8 - geforce 9500m
    1440x900 resolution

They should perform pretty similarly, pick which ever one suits your budget better.

do you think the newer ati card would stomp the nvidia? Because, I like the ati laptop, but like you said, the nvidia has a better screen.

Both laptops will play both games at decent settings. The video cards are approx equal. The F8SN-C1 has a by far better processor.

If you are looking for something cheaper than the SN-C1 but better than the Sp-X1 you should check out the F8SN-B1.

You might already know this but you should check out the retailers under the ASUS Info booth. Better prices and more selection. Also I would not buy a notebook from NewEgg.com seeing as how they do not provide a return policy on them.
