I was thinking of getting one of these laptops fors best buy, but I want to know which one is the best, being the most powerful, convienient, best priced, and anything else that would help me decide which one to get.
-
the G-72-RX09 is the most powerful. Convenience would be equaled in the G60s, the G72s being a bit bigger. the best priced would def. be the G60 RX05, ringing ing at 999$. I'd personally get the G60-RX09, 1,199 with the 2.5Ghz CPU. However, with taxes and the cost to get a "real" warranty from bestbuy I'd opt for the X3A, no tax there, and a better warranty standard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...4220639&cm_re=Asus_G51-_-34-220-639-_-Product

the g60 is killing everything i throw at it thanks to the perfect resolution, the g72 is just way to big dude

bestbuy's warranty sucks fairly hard. this is one of the reasons you'll see people referring to it as WorstBuy. to get a decent (2 year) warranty via their geeksquad(which I wouldn't recommend anyways) you'd already be spending more than you would be on the better X3A, which also includes a better warranty than the one you'd be buying.
-
I always thought that best buys warranty would be better because if your laptop broke you could take it straight to the store to have it fixed.

I wouldn't trust GeekSquad to install HWMonitor onto my computer.
Yes, HWMonitor. -
You mean you'd let them get near enough to touch it? o.o
-
Or you can charge it with a AMEX credit card and get the manufacturer's warranty extended for 1 additional year free.
Personally I would get the G60 if I'm buying one from BB.
G-72 is very good but a little to big for my needs -
Does anyone know if the X3A still has the same heating problems as the other G51's? I have heard that the g60's heating problems are not as bad as the g51.

Re: Howard's Asus G60VX-RBBX05 REVIEW
Well I also ran all updates and installed latest driver from Nvidia. Unfortunately looks like same heat issues. After running stability test for 300 seconds was at 92c.... -
Re: Howard's Asus G60VX-RBBX05 REVIEW
Just played 1 hour of COD world at war, temperature PEAK at 79C, this laptop is night and day from G51!!!
and within 2 minutes, its back down to 66 c again......will soon drop to 56 or 58c....i really wonder what asus did to G60's cooling
From what I hear, the cooling for the g-60 is much better. -
This comes with a 1 year warranty from Asus right?
So, if you don't buy a warranty from Best Buy and you don't have a AMEX credit card, what do you do about getting extra warranty?
Also, is the RBBX09 worth the $200 more than the RBBX05? -
ASUS G-60 or G-72?
