Hey guys, anyone know what the difference is and why between the 8600M GT 256Mb in the G1-X1 and A1 and the 8600 GT 512Mb in the V1?

Both are 15.4" notebooks so what gives?

The G1s 8600M GT is faster because it uses GDDR3 Memory at 700MHz. The V1S 8600M GT with its 512MB DDR2 RAM at 400MHz runs cooler and less power hungry. The whole 512MB can never be used.
