ok, got an ASUS G1 with a GeForce 7700go 512MB Video Card and a T7200 CPU.
i've seen some artifacting and stuff in games (i mostly play WoW on it)
like, textures shoot out across the screen and weird polygon things..
so i installed the NVIDIA System Tools and its showing my GPU temp at roughly 60C Idle and up to 92C Load. I haven't seen it artifact while running the sensor program so not sure if it gets higher.
Do you think thats too hot? i normally just have the notebook on a normal table (not on my lap or anything) and there isn't anything blocking ventalation.
anyone else have the same video card? any idea wat temps u get?
i live in Western Australia...at the moment its the Peak of Summer and we are constantly getting days of 35-42C.
The machine has just turned 2, so i suppose its possible that dust is blocking airways...there is a fair bit of hot air coming out of the back, but there could be more???
thanks!![]()

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
Yes, first thing to do would be clean out the vent and radiator to see what impact that might have on temps. After 2 years of use, depending on how you've used it, there could be an entire colony of dust bunnies in there.
ASUS G1 GeForce 7700 Temps???
