My laptop still on warranty. Suspect is graphic card dead. While playing Warhammer Online, there were white flashes on my screen, pictures went BOOM all kinds of colors and laptop hung.

Reboot, hear the signature BOOM sound and whole screen with green lines. XP logo doesn't show, black screen and laptop reboots by itself. Keeps going on and on...

So what happens now? What will ASUS replace for me if indeed the graphic card is dead?

    yes send it in

demand anything else other than a 8600m

if they send it back with a 8600m, decline the package and send it right back where it came from

My G1 came with 7700, so they will replace a newer graphics card?

Anyone with experience in this before?

Wrapping your laptop in a towel and then saran wrap (plastic wrap) and looping 3dmark and prime 95 (or similar program) for 22-48 hours will surely kill your laptop. I would never recommend this as it is sure to break something in the process. Who would say such a thing? Don't try this at home. :D
