I dropped my G1 and it won't turn on again now. What might be the problem and what can I do? I pulled off my battery and connect it directly to the adaptor, still it won't work :(

Could be anything: Broken circuit boards, broken solders, loosen connectors, etc.

How long ago did you get it?

Did you register your notebook with Asus?

A G1 is almost certainly out of warranty by now, if you have time left on your warranty definitely send it back though.

I'd wager you've either damaged a component on the motherboard or disconnected something. Try taking the RAM out and putting it back in, since that's easy enough and it's possible that the memory is not seated correctly from the drop.

I bought it in 2006, so it's been 3 years now. Should I repair it or get a new laptop instead?? I don't know the cost of repairing such thing...

And now I tried to turn it on and it works... wonder why... I kind of have for several minutes after I plugged it in to the outlet and it works
