The fn+F10, fn+F11 and fn+F12 keys don't work. When I hit them, I get the pretty animation on the screen, but the volume doesn't change. I tried reinstalling ATKOSD, ATK_Hotkey and ATK Driver, but it hasn't changed anything.

    Help please?!

Try reinstalling ATK_Media too. If you don't have it this is the URL:
    http://dlsvr.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/F3Tc/ATKMedia_Vista32bit_070125.zip

EDIT: I'm not sure if that's gonna do it because that is for the media center keys near the front of the case, not sure if it's also for volume. I think kbfilter is what actually registers those Fn + F10-12 keystrokes. Maybe uninstall & reinstall realtek audio?

    still doesn't work.

I noticed that if I mute through the FN key and then try to mute through the icon in the taskbar, it quickly mutes and then unmutes. However, it still allowed audio.
