    ASUS G1S-A1 sound card problems(driver?)

    This is a brand new notebook.Speakers are cheap but I don't think I should be hearing so much background noises.Even with external Creative speakers or Sony headphones I still hear a lot of noises in the background.Sound card broken?Any1 with the same issue?
    All input is appreciated.

    It looks like it's hardware (interference) problems rather than drivers. Maybe something was not insulated properly.

    I still suggest different drivers (older, newer) if you can find some. If the noise is there after the up/downgrade, you're more confident it's hardware.

    One more thing to try to make sure it's hardware is try the sound in a Live Linux distro such as Knoppix or SLAX.

    If you get noise everywhere, just RMA the thing and get it fixed from warranty.
