Does anyone know where I can turn off or make the lights on the top of the lid solidly lit instead of flashing. I looked around in the BIOS but have not seen anything.

Thanks for your help in advance.

AFAIK, there isn't the option. Which is really really stupid on Asus's part.

Hmm other people report turning the lights off. I guess if it's possible it should be done via DirectConsole?

That's exactly where it is. Open up DirectConsole. Click on Advance, then click on the gear beside Advance, then under Lighting Behavior click on Light Off. Then click Ok, Ok, and Ok.

The only thing it turns completely off though is the side lighting. The bottom strip and the logo still illuminate.

In Direct Console 2.0.5 Advance mode there are two tabs at the top, one for the side LEDS and one for the ROG logo and bottom LED. It is not obvious that there are tabs. The side LED tab under "Lighting behavior" has the option "Led Off". Unfortunately, the ROG logo and bottom LED tab setting appear to be unfinished. Under "Lighting behavior" there is only one setting "Light on when power on & breath in S3/S4 and battery mode". There are no other settings, so the light stays on. Ideally Asus will add the "Led Off" option to this screen. I'd prefer to turn the LEDs off when I'm at work (I'm a teacher).
