    Hey I just installed win 7, the install went succesfully, but I cannot open my cd drive, it is also not detecting that a cd is already in it when i go to my computer.. I also have no drivers installed yet becasue i cannot open my cd drive to put the driver cd in. please help!

    Please check if the CD Drive is still properly connected to the computer. You can check that by entering the BIOS of the laptop (by F2, I believe).

    Looks like you may have a defective CD Drive.
