Since last couple of weeks I'm having this weird issue. My USB mouse stops working after sometime. I tried with several USB mice but same issue. It works for couple of hours and then dies.. Tried changing USB ports but no luck. Once it stops and if I reboot the system, it freezes at BIOS screen. Then I have to take out battery and plug it again to boot it properly. I can charge my phone using a USB cable but mouse won't work no matter which USB port I use. Anyone having same issue? IS my G50V dying?

It may be that you have the device settings to allow the computer to turn off devices to save power. To check, jump into your device manager and right click on the mouse, then the last advanced/power options.

Edit: Unsure about your bios issue. Are you running the latest version? default settings?

Nope, it's not. Mouse stops working while I'm working (playing!). And the BIOS issue is related to the the USB port since it happens only when USB port stops working.. I'm using latest BIOS pretty much default settings.

USB Port Power Surge. It's really unsolvable. Shut down, pull your battery, reboot. This seems to solve it for me. It only happens rarely, though.

Give it a system restore back to a couple weeks ago or when the issue was not occurring. If that fails, try a clean install of your operating system.
