I recently purchased a ASUS G50V-A2 Gaming laptop from newegg.com. I have had the computer just under 5 days and Im starting to have crash problems. It started when I was installing WOW:WOTLK and about 58% of the way through the system gave me a blue screen stop error and started to reboot, but it would not boot past the Gamers Repulic Logo. It was unsucessful after a few more tries and then after waiting about 5-10 min, it booted up normally. Later on, I was playing an old fav. Fallout 2 (A game from 1998 way below the graphics and RAM capacity for this laptop)and the game froze, upon rebooting led to the same problem before. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone had a similar problem?

First check your temps with HWMonitor. Decent temps are <80C when gaming.

Second, just before the Vista logo appears when starting your computer, press F8 and run the Memory test. If there is no option for a memory test you can try run Memtest86.

Also, if the computer is causing you too much trouble, you can probably return it and ask for a replacement.
